True to its commitment to take part in bringing about an epistemic community which the current university administration envisions PUP to be in the generations to come, the NALLRC gathers together some of the most brilliant Filipino minds through talks that speak of ideals which have stood the test of time and ideas which continue to flourish with those of their authors’ minds. On its 25th year, the Center presents The Dante G. Guevarra Lecture Series which will run from August 2016 to June 2017.
Speakers representing different fields of specialization were nominated by their colleagues in the profession based on a set of criteria specified by the organizing committee. These fields include: Arts and Humanities; Language, Linguistics & Literature; Philosophy; Business; Communication; Library & Information Science; Engineering, Information & Communication Technology; Political Science and Public Governance, among others.
The first lecture was held on August 8 with communication specialist Dr. Crispin C. Maslog as guest lecturer. His topic was "Communication the Past to Today's Millennial Generation."
