A total of six (6) undergraduate and graduate programs passed Level IV Phase 1 of the Online Accreditation Survey Visit of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) held from November 30 to December 5, 2020.
Among the accredited programs were: Bachelor of Arts in History, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Master in Business Administration, and Doctor of Public Administration.
This is by far the biggest number of programs that passed Level 4, Phase 1, and one of the few times that there is no area revisit before qualifying for Phase 2.
Overall, nine (9) programs passed Level IV Phase 1 in 2020 including the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering programs, which were visited by the AACCUP on October 26 to 30, 2020.
According to AACCUP, Level 4 accredited status is only awarded to academic programs “which are highly respected as very high academic programs in the Philippines and with prestige and authority comparable to similar programs in excellent foreign universities.”
