The Bureau of Fire Protection trained students, employees and faculty members of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines to prepare them in case a fire occurs inside the vicinity.
The training which was held at the Freedom Park, PUP Main Campus on April 7, 2017, provided the PUP community of the basic knowledge and what-to-do's in case of fire.
Organized by the University Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (UDRRMC), in partnership with the University General Services Office, the drill aimed to raise awareness in the school and its constituents to have a deeper knowledge on how to keep the University safe from any accidents.
Among the BFP officials present in the event were FO1 Oscar Zulueta, FO1 Gerene Tanglid, FO1 Kirth Aquilles Toledo and FO2 Jessi James Andong. Gerardo D. Toledo Jr., Chief Operational Manager of the Disaster Risk Reduction Office served as facilitator of the training.
