Our Sintang Paaralan proudly joins the nationwide celebration of the 2026 Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month for the entire month of May 2026, reaffirming its strong commitment to efficient, transparent, and accountable public service in support of national development initiatives.
As part of the month-long observance, the Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) conducted a series of inspections across offices to assess compliance with existing anti-red tape policies and service standards. These initiatives aim to further strengthen the delivery of responsive, citizen-centered, and quality services to students, employees, and other stakeholders.
The EODB inspection activities were spearheaded by Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Tomas Testor, Chairperson of the Committee on Anti-Red Tape, together with members of the committee. The inspections focused on promoting efficiency in frontline services, ensuring transparency in transactions, and reinforcing accountability mechanisms within the university.
Anchored on the theme, “Achieving Results through Transparency and Accountability: Towards a More Productive Bagong Pilipinas,” the celebration emphasizes the vital role of public institutions in fostering trust, integrity, and innovation in governance. Through continuous process improvement and adherence to the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act, the University remains steadfast in cultivating a culture of excellence in public service.
Adding to the University’s achievements during the said month-long celebration, we were recognized as the People’s Choice Awardee in the ARTA 2026 Ease of Doing Business Month Reels Making Contest. The award was granted based on the official tally of more than 3,500 combined hearts and likes, demonstrating the overwhelming support and appreciation garnered by PUP’s entry from the public during the voting period held from May 22 to May 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. This recognition underscores the University’s effectiveness in promoting ARTA’s advocacy for transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centered public service through creative and engaging digital content.
This initiative also supports the UN SDGs, particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which promotes accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, which encourages productive activities and efficient systems that contribute to sustainable development.
Thus, the University continues to uphold its mission of providing quality education and public service by fostering transparency, professionalism, integrity, and innovation in all its operations. Together, let us continue working towards a more efficient, accountable, and service-oriented institution for the benefit of the PUP community and the nation.
