Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) has renewed a critical partnership with Denso Ten Solutions Philippines Corporation through a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This partnership aims to support students enrolled in the university’s Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology and Diploma in Information Technology programs through a comprehensive scholarship program.
The MOA signing, held last July 31 at Silid-Lakan Dayang, NALLRC Building was attended by key university officials, including Prof. Tomas O. Testor, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Engr. Ana Liza R. Publico, Director of the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance; and Engr. Ramir M. Cruz, Dean of the Institute of Technology. The presence of these distinguished figures highlighted the university’s ongoing commitment to enhancing educational opportunities through strategic industry partnerships.
In his address, Vice President Testor expressed gratitude on behalf of PUP’s Executive Officials, stating, “Denso Ten Solutions Philippines Corporation empowers our students not only by providing educational support but also by involving them in research and innovation. This collaboration expands students’ exposure to technology and opportunities, aligning with our university’s mission to integrate industry partnerships into our educational framework.”
Representatives from Denso Ten Solutions Philippines Corporation included Mr. Akira Matsuura, President; Mr. Arnel Aguilar, Corporate Planning and Services Department Manager; and Ms. Lovely Carpo, Human Resources Manager. Mr. Matsuura emphasized the company’s commitment to the partnership, stating, “We are grateful for this collaboration. Our commitment to supporting students, research, and innovation aligns with our shared goals with PUP. We look forward to future endeavors together. Arigatou Gozaimasu.”
The event was also graced by officials from the PUP Institute of Technology (ITech), including Prof. Frescian C. Ruiz, Chairperson of the Computer and Electronics Engineering Technology Department; Prof. Zenaida S. Bonaobra, Chairperson of the Office Management and Information Technology Department; and Prof. Raymond L. Alfonso, Chairperson of the Engineering Technology Department. Representing the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance (OSFA) were Mr. Zuriel D. Aguilar, Benefactor Coordinator, and Ms. Rochelle Decena, OSFA Secretary. Additional representatives from Denso Ten Solutions included Mr. Rommel Tuazon, Department Manager of the Automotive Electronics Department, and Ms. Mary Rose Nicolas, Human Resources Supervisor.
Following the signing ceremony, Denso Ten representatives were given a tour of the Institute of Technology Building, where they were introduced to PUP’s state-of-the-art facilities, reflecting the university’s dedication to providing an enriched learning environment for its students.
The successful renewal of this MOA underscores the shared commitment of both PUP and Denso Ten Solutions Philippines Corporation to advancing educational opportunities and fostering student development.
