Three in a row: Sintang Paaralan takes top spots in recent licensure exams

In continuing its dream of excellence for its students, three PUPians took third highest spots in various licensure examinations. Ma. Patrisha Tungol Casalme successfully recorded the passing rate of 86.50% in the July 2022 Interior Design Licensure Examination, while Jhudiel Salivio Umandal scored 85.90% to take one of the top spots in the July 2022 Master Plumber Licensure Examination (MPLE).

More recently, Alvin Zantua Tan clinched a rating of 93% in the June 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) - Secondary Level. Examinations were conducted in 19 testing centers all over the Philippines last June 26, while results were released last August 4.
 

University performance

PUP received a 78.57% overall performance in IDLE, with 22 out of 28 of its takers passing the examination, surpassing the national passing rate of 65.68%. Meanwhile, Sintang Paaralan garnered a 76.27% overall passing rate for MPLE, with 45 out of its 59 takers qualifying for the examination, exceeding the 51.28% national passing rate.

For LET, PUP logged a 75% passing rate with 96 out of its 126 takers successfully passing the examination. According to the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC), 8,667 elementary teachers out of 17,149 examinees (50.54%) passed the exam and another 10,193 out of 17,149 examinees (50.48%) had passed for the secondary level.
 

A community achievement

The University continues to exhibit excellent performance in various licensure examinations. In his monthly address to the PUP community, President Manuel Muhi applauded these recent achievements: “Congratulations sa ating mga iskolar ng bayan na nag top sa mga nakaraang board exams. Nakakaproud po na walang board exam na hindi po tayo kabilang sa top performing school o kabilang ang ating mga estudyante sa topnotchers.”

He expressed his gratitude to the students, their parents, and the faculty members for taking every effort to proudly represent the University: “Maraming salamat po sa bawat isa sa patuloy na pagbibigay karangalan sa Sintang Paaralan. Ang lahat po ng ating mga pagsisikap ay lagi’t lagi pong para sa ating mahal na mga iskolar ng bayan at PUP.”
