The Polytechnic University of the Philippines recently collaborated with other academic, businesses and civic institutions to form the Corporate Social Responsibility Educators and Practitioners Association of the Philippines, Inc.
PUP Community Relations and Extension Development Office Director Prof. Roseller “Bobi” R. Luciano said that CEPAP was established on October 19 at the Far Eastern University in Sampaloc, Manila. Luciano was elected by fellow CEPAP pioneers as Auditor.
Luciano said that the association introduces itself as the convergence of committed corporate socially responsible educators and practitioners proactively responsive to the needs of the marginalized sectors in the Philippines.
Luciano claimed that CEPAP aims to promote, uphold and maintain high standards in the field of corporate social responsibility to serve the best interest of its stakeholders as it strives to attain its national goals with global impact.
PUP was the sole state university represented at the founding assembly in FEU. It was chosen to host the CEPAP Strategic Planning Workshop on December 3.
CEPAP’s other founding members include FEU, Adamson University, De La Salle University, Manila Central University, New Era University, Philippine Women’s University, University of Santo Tomas, ACLC College, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Enderun College, Infotech College, Miriam College, San Sebastian College, St. John Bosco College, St. Scholastica’s College, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, Institute of Formation and Religious Studies, Chamber of Mines, Toyota Philippines, and World Vision.
