Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ Safety and Security Services personnel and staff participated in a training course for Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent (EORA) held at Mount Tepeyac Residences, Baguio City on June 26 to 30, 2017.
The training was comprised of: Basic Security Mission and Intelligence Concepts, Bomb Security and Preventive Security, Philippine Incidents and Trends in Terrorists Bombing, Introduction to Military Munitions and Commercial Explosives, Basic Types, Components and Functioning of IEDS (Improvised Explosive Devices), Bomb Search Operations, Bomb Threat/Incidents Response, and Reporting and Commercial Explosives Detection.
The event was organized by the Philippine Center for Coaching and Mentoring, Inc. (PCCM), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). These organizations presented the new EORA Program of Instruction (POI) under the Special Operations Training Institute (SOTI), which has an upgraded quality standards, improved learning methodologies, and enhanced grading system.
The said training equipped the security personnel in responding immediately to incidents like security breaching and any threats to the University’s safety.
