The Polytechnic University of the Philippines has been awarded the Top Campus Partner in Operations by consulting firm Accenture in the Philippines during the “40: We Power Reinvention” event held at Mandaluyong City. The award is a testament of the university’s commitment to form strong and lasting partnerships with various industries.
In the plaque dated January 17, the distinction was given to the University and presented by Ambe Tierro, Country Managing Director of Accenture in the Philippines, for PUP’s “outstanding contribution as one of our top campus partners, following a pipeline of talented and innovative new hires who are instrumental in driving reinvention at Accenture.”
Alumni Relations and Career Development Office (ARCDO) Director and Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs (AVPSAS) Engr. Florinda H. Oquindo shared that PUP was conferred the recognition for its consistent production of industry-ready graduates which, in turn, become quality and reliable members of Accenture’s workforce, adding prestige to the University’s name.
“Given this award, we will be recognized, [and] we will be known to other industries and to other universities. Mae-enhance pa lalo ang branding ni PUP given this award. Makikilala pa tayo and really mapo-prove kung ano talaga ang PUP. We’ve been the number 1 most preferred [by employers according to Jobstreet] for eight consecutive years so mapo-prove talaga na talagang karapat-dapat si PUP na maging number 1,” Dir. Oquindo remarked.

We’ve been the number one most preferred [by employers according to JobStreet] for eight consecutive years, so this will truly prove that PUP deserves to be number one.)
Director Oquindo also emphasized the long-standing partnership between PUP and Accenture, which has spanned over 15 years and included support for various activities. She expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to strengthen the collaboration further.
“Kailangan natin [to] continuously we think, and we innovate ways on how we could deliver more as this is for Sinta,” she said.
