The Pylon Awards 2026: Gawad ng Tagumpay was held on May 14, 2026, at the Bulwagang Balagtas, PUP Sta. Mesa, Manila. The event brought together alumni entrepreneurs, institutional partners, and the academic community in honoring excellence in innovation and enterprise.
It was led by the Technology Business Incubation and Development Office (TBIDO) under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development (OVPRED), in collaboration with the Alumni Relations and Career Development Office (ARCDO) and the Federation of Alumni Associations, Inc. (FEDAAPI). The initiative was further strengthened with support from the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), reinforcing national efforts to advance innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
This year’s honorees reflect a wide range of industries and advocacies; showcasing how Filipino entrepreneurs continue to drive meaningful change across sectors:

Dr. Philip Ermita, Director of the Technology Business Incubation and Development Office (TBIDO), described the PYLON Awards as “a celebration of innovation, resilience, collaboration, and our collective commitment to creating meaningful impact through technology, entrepreneurship, and service to society.” Moreover, this year’s awardees are all alumni of our Sintang Paaralan that emphasize the University’s continuing legacy of excellence and service.
The Pylon Awards 2026 aligns strongly with the UN SDGs, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), as it recognizes entrepreneurs who contribute to job creation and inclusive economic progress. It also supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting technological advancement and innovation-driven enterprises that strengthen the Philippine startup ecosystem.
Through its women empowerment category, it advances SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by highlighting women leaders who break barriers and foster inclusive opportunities in business. The recognition of social enterprises further contributes to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), stressing sustainability and community-centered innovation. Finally, the event reflects SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), demonstrated through strong collaboration among academic institutions, government agencies, and industry partners working together to build a more resilient environment of entrepreneurship and innovation
