CORE spearheads National Training on Research Writing

Circle of Research Enthusiasts (CORE), the premier academic student organization of the College of Communication (COC) Department of Communication Research (DCR) organized a writing training titled ABNKKSLTNPLK (Aba Nakakasulat Na Pala Ako): An Exciting Guide on Business, Academic, and Research Writing from June 2 to 4, 2021.

Experts from different areas of writing were asked to share their expertise. Ms. Jan Abigail "Coach Chubby" Maravilla shared her experience on the topic Compose Message: Sounding Right on Business Letters; Mr. Veronico Tarrayo on the Watch Your Words: DOs and DON'Ts in Academic Writing; Mr. Jeffrey Ancheta tackled Pananaliksik sa Bayan ni Juan: Ang Trahedya ng/sa Pagsulat sa Filipino; and Mr. Jomar Soriano focused on Back to Basics: The FUNdamentals of Research.

The activity was attended by almost 560 school administrators, school paper advisers, research advisers, teachers, and students in College and Senior High Schools from different regions.

The 3-day event is in partnership with The Communicator, City College of SJDM Student Council, Interact Club of Metro Zamboanga, PUP-DCR Underscore, PUP COC Student Council, The Oikonomos Nexus, Gabay Isko, Bicol University College of Science Student Council, Student Council Alliance of the Philippines, Rotaract Metro Valenzuela and sponsored by and Hannah Bea's Beads and Threads.
