The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), led by University President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi, received major awards at the 39th Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) Annual National Conference held at Century Park Hotel from March 24 to 26.
In the event, the University received notable distinctions, ranking Top 2 in Level IV Retained Programs, Top 1 in Level III Re-accredited Programs, and Top 2 in Level I Accredited Programs—achievements made possible through collective excellence and dedication demonstrated by the 61 programs that underwent accreditation in 2025.
During the same conference, Quality Assurance Center (QAC) Director Dr. Sanjay P. Claudio was elected to the AACCUP Board of Trustees under the Deans/Directors category and subsequently chosen as Treasurer—a testament to his leadership. This follows his recognition as a Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Quality Advocate Awardee in 2025. He will hold the position for two years.
Since 2018, PUP has consistently been an AACCUP awardee, garnering over 20 recognitions as a top-performing SUC across various accreditation levels. Among these achievements is its back-to-back recognition as Most Outstanding Internal Quality Assurance Unit. In addition, the Sintang Paaralan remains the top State University and College (SUC) with the most Level IV Re-accredited programs recognized by AACCUP, totaling 47.
These accomplishments underscore the University’s unwavering commitment to quality assurance across all aspects of the PUP System, bringing recognition and honor to the Sintang Paaralan. These efforts also support the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically No. 4 in Quality Education, No. 9 in Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, No. 16 in Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and No. 17 in Partnerships for the Goals.
