To assist members of the PUP community in securing essential documents from National Government Agencies (NGAs), the Alumni Relations and Career Development Office (ARCDO) held its annual One-Stop Shop Government Services on January 29–30, 2026, at the PUP Gymnasium.
Open to all PUP students, faculty, and administrative staff across the entire PUP System, as well as alumni and Education on Wheels (EOW) students, the event featured the following participating agencies and their services:
ARCDO encouraged members of the PUP community to take advantage this yearly opportunity, which provided easier access to government transactions.
University President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi also urged the PUP community to avail themselves of the services, stating “Taon-taon natin ’tong ginagawa dito sa ating Gymnasium [PUP Sta. Mesa Campus]. Hindi mo nakailangan pumunta sa iba’t ibang ahensya para makakuha ng dokumento at I.D., dahil nandito na lahat. Paglabas mo, dala-dala mo na ’yung government I.D. mo.”
(We hold this event here in our Gymnasium [PUP Sta. Mesa Campus] every year. You no longer need to go to different agencies to get your documents and IDs—everything is right here. By the time you walk out, you’ll already have your government ID in hand.)
One attendee, Keith Alfred Gilo, an Electrical Engineering alumnus from the College of Engineering (CE), said that the event greatly helped him secure his Pag-Ibig, Philhealth, and SSS documents needed for employment. Meanwhile, Bianca Denisse Se, a fourth-year student from the College of Arts and Letters (CAL), noted the efficiency of the program saying, “Sobrang convenient nitong One-Stop-Shop kasi nandito na lahat—puwede ko makuha mga government I.D.s in one place. Galing pa akong Bulacan, sobrang convenient dahil hindi ko na kailangan pumunta sa iba’t ibang location.”
(This One-Stop Shop is so convenient because everything is already here—I can get all my government IDs in one place. I even came all the way from Bulacan, and it’s such a relief not to have to travel to different locations just to secure these documents.)
Echoing Se’s sentiment, Dr. Aimee Rose Manda, PUP Graduate School (GS) Secretary and Chairperson of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology program, commented that the convenient and reliable services allowed her to secure her document without long delays.
Through this annual initiative, the University reaffirms its role as a transformative institution by fostering strategic partnerships with government agencies to enhance access to essential public services and raise awareness about available support systems. The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), specifically No. 8 in Decent Work and Economic Growth, No. 11 in Sustainable Cities and Communities, No. 17 in Partnerships for the Goals.
