The top 10 were chosen from a total of 578 participants from 111 different universities and colleges across the country.
“I always see every competition as an opportunity to learn more, na manalo man o matalo, masaya na akong matuto ng bago. From being the last one to secure a spot on the Top 10 Finalists from the NCR Hub, I never expected na aabot pa ako up to this point. Thank you, PUP JPIA Manila and NFJPIA. All glory to God!” Regalado stated as she shared her story of being the 10th placer during the elimination round.
Reynan E. Bolisay, NCR representative, also bagged the 5th spot after competing against student representatives from North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
“I’m happy because I won as 4th runner up in 14th NAQDown. For me, proud na po ako ang pinili na isa sa mga representative ng PUP Manila for this competition kasi they trusted me na magagawa ko ito. So, I use that as a motivation para mag-aral nang mabuti at para maging proud na rin ang family ko. Salamat po,” Bolisay shared.
NAQDown is an annual inter-school academic competition conducted by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and aims to maintain academic competence and produce globally competitive young professionals through competition.
In addition to Regalado and Bolisay, members of PUP JPIA Manila’s Senior FINESTs Edmar Angelo D. Alfelor, Aeron S. Delos Reyes, Jerald B. Digneneng, Mary Angeline G. Lopez, and Joemar V. Turla also participated in the said event on behalf of PUP.
