In its steadfast commitment to providing accessible, inclusive, and transformative education, the PUP continues to build bridges of opportunity through meaningful collaborations with benefactors and partner institutions. These scholarship and partnership programs serve as powerful testaments to the University’s mission of nurturing competent, compassionate, and service-driven scholars who will contribute to nation-building.
The series of partnerships began on August 14, 2025, when the University entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with iBMS Technology Phils. Corp. to establish a scholarship and financial assistance program for deserving yet underprivileged students of the Bachelor of Science in Electronic Communications Engineering program. Representing the University were Prof. Tomas O. Testor, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Dr. Remedios G. Ado, Dean of the College of Engineering; and Prof. Ana Liza R. Publico, Director of the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance. iBMS Technology was represented by Engr. Ornan S. Vicente, Chairperson and CEO, and Engr. Jeffrey S. Vicente, Managing Director. This partnership underscores the shared belief that financial assistance, coupled with academic guidance, can transform students’ lives, and prepare them to become globally competitive professionals in the field of engineering.
Continuing its advocacy for educational empowerment, the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 5, 2025, with the Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, Inc. (FBDFI) under its Bayani Scholarship Program. The agreement seeks to provide educational assistance to underserved yet deserving students from Taguig and neighboring communities. Representing FBDFI was Enrique Luis B. Manuel, Jr., Chief Operating Officer; Ma. Lourdes R. Reyes, Chief Finance Officer; and other foundation officers, while the PUP was represented by Dr. Manuel M. Muhi, University President; VPSAS Prof. Testor; and other University executives. The partnership highlights the mutual commitment to empowering learners through education, enabling them to thrive as future leaders who can contribute to sustainable community development.
On October 15, 2025, the University reaffirmed its long-standing collaboration with the Jesus V. del Rosario Foundation, Inc. (JVRFI) through the renewal of its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for scholarship and financial assistance programs. The renewed partnership benefits students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Accountancy, Management Accounting, Civil Engineering, and Computer Engineering programs. Representing the Foundation was Kana Manglapus, Executive Director, while VP Testor represented the University. This continuing alliance exemplifies a shared dedication to advancing academic excellence and holistic development, ensuring that PUP scholars are not only equipped with technical knowledge but also imbued with a sense of purpose and responsibility to serve the nation.
Culminating the series of partnerships, on October 20, 2025, the University officially sealed a collaboration with Engr. Robert Lue R. Asturias, a proud alumnus of the College of Engineering, under the program “Hatag Ta! Tulong Na! Adopt-a-Scholar, Donate for the Future.” The ceremonial signing, attended by OSFA Director Publico and Engr. Geoffrey T. Salvador, Chairperson of the Department of Electronics Engineering, marked a heartfelt gesture of giving back. Through this initiative, Engr. Asturias extends financial support to a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering student—embodying the true PUPian spirit of compassion, generosity, and service encapsulated in the mantra “Mula sa’yo, para sa bayan.”
Taken together, these partnerships represent the University’s enduring dedication to student success and social responsibility. By expanding access to education, fostering collaboration with industry partners, and empowering scholars to pursue their dreams, the University continues to play an active role in shaping the nation’s future. These initiatives also advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), by ensuring equitable learning opportunities; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by developing skilled and employable graduates; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by strengthening alliances that drive educational innovation, inclusion, and sustainable national progress.
