Four alumni of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ College of Communication bagged awards in the 4th Asia Pacific Luminaire Awards.
Mr. Joecen Kevin Dalumpines, a Bachelor in Journalism graduate in 2012, took home the award “as producer, notable writer, and Producer of the Year.”
A Bachelor in Broadcasting batch 2005, Mr. Herald Villarca, the founder of Kanlungan Pilipinas Movement, a national organization that champions education promotion, environment protection, youth development, and humanitarian efforts, was awarded as “Inspiration of today’s youth and modern-day hero” for his act of volunteerism and community engagement by the said award-giving body.
Mr. Jophel Ybiosa was recognized as a “topnotch Filipino artist and professional leadership award,” while Ms. Jenny Lazaro was a recipient of 19th Q Asia’s Quality Excellence Awards 2020-2021.
According to cinebravo.com, Asia Pacific Luminaire Awards (APLA) is an organization that searches for the best of the best individuals and companies across all of Asia, including industry titans, entertainment and cultural artists, corporate heroes, advocates of the planet, and people. Its beneficiary is Kiwanis Charity Organization Mega Cavite.
