Tanggapin ninyo ang pinakamataas na saludo ko..."
Moreover, Dr. Daizylyn Palillo, Chairperson of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, introduced the Keynote Speaker, Mr. Belen, who shared the four core characteristics a teacher should possess to be effective: Consistent, Adaptable, Reachable, and Empathetic, which forms the acronym, CARE.
Mr. Belen ended his message by saying, "We need to care for each other, not just for each other, but we need to be concerned about what's happening in our society and another important point is that we also have to manage self-care because you cannot give what you cannot have.”
An inspirational message was also heard from Vice President Leni Robredo where she emphasized the immediate change of educational setup and how it showed the flexibility and adaptability of the nation's teachers to ensure that no student will be left behind.
“Patunay kayo sa matagal na nating sinasabi, the worst of times brings out the best of ourselves. You show up for your students, for your peers, for your community every day at ginagawa niyo ito para maabot ang iisang layunin ang magpanday ng isang better normal kung saan walng kabataan ang napagiiwanan.” she mentioned.
VP Leni also expressed her gratitude to all teachers for exerting their efforts to eradicate the effects of the health pandemic in the field of education, "You are at the frontlines of preventing the pandemic's effects from crossing over to the next generation. For this, the nation owes you its deep gratitude for imparting not only knowledge but for your commitment and dedication. For your selflessness and for many times you went above and beyond the call of duty, to make sure that our children get the education that they deserve…”
The program ended with Dr. Manolito San Jose's message on behalf of the CoEd Faculty Club as their President.
