Eleven groups composed of 33 Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (ID) students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines converge to showcase the rich Filipino culture through the integration of the traditional 'Bahay Kubo' design to modern living.
Under IDr. Billie Jean Dumlao-Dela Cruz’ supervision, the graduating class of 2017 produced residential spaces inspired by 11 distinct homes of the indigenous tribes in the Philippines, namely Bontoc, Ivatan, Ifugao, Subanen, Kalinga, Tausug, Mandaya, Badjao, Isneg, Maranao, and T'boli.
The launch of this year's exhibit dubbed as "Bahay Kubo, Sari-Sari" was held on March 20, 2017 at Greenfield District Showroom in Pasig City.
Big names from the industry, like Boysen, Interior Source, and Sonic Lighting, partnered with the University to showcase uniquely designed living rooms, playrooms, dining area, and other residential spaces.
The exhibit is open to the public for free starting March 21 until April 24, 2017, at G/F Square Bldg., Greenfield District, Pasig City.
