The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is using the GMEF to guide their research and extension services with external partners like the Cooperative Union of Mandaluyong City. By applying .the GMEF, the department can systematically assess the gender mainstreaming efforts of the cooperative union across the five levels and four entry points.
This assessment will help identify strengths, gaps and areas for improvement in the cooperative union's gender mainstreaming initiatives. The DSA can use the results to formulate specific programs and trainings needed by the CUMC to improve their efforts in gender equality and women's empowerment in the cooperative.
The GMEF provides a comprehensive framework for the department to work with the cooperative union and other external partners to advance gender mainstreaming in their programs, policies and organizational culture. By leveraging the GMEF, the department can deliver high-quality, evidence-based extension services that make a real difference in the lives of women and men in the community.
