Graduates from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines have once again displayed their academic prowess when they topped various licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in August 2024.

“Ang ating tagumpay ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa ating lahat at patunay ng kalidad ng edukasyon na inyong tinatamasa sa Sintang Paaralan. Kayo po ang aming tunay na tanglaw,” he quipped.
(Our success serves as an inspiration to all of us and as proof of the quality of education you are enjoying at our Sintang Paaralan. You are truly our light.)
These achievements demonstrate PUP’s academic excellence by producing talented graduates who excel in licensure exams and in their chosen fields. Such performances also showcase the university’s capacity to provide quality education which cultivates and nurtures PUPians into skilled professionals.
Miguel Angelo Pineda, Charles Bryant Lara, and Harriet Paula Lising, all from PUP Sta. Mesa Campus achieved high marks in the August 2024 Psychometrician Licensure Examinations as shown by the results released on August 19. They scored 86.40%, 85.60%, and 85.50% ratings, respectively.

“Producing topnotchers and achieving a high passing rate will significantly boost PUP’s reputation as a top institution for psychology education. We are very delighted with the results of the Psychometrician Licensure Examination. We are happy that after the resumption of Licensure Exams in 2022, we have produced topnotchers. And the results had a great impact on the department,” she said.
Manansala added that her department continuously abides with the University’s education system of “continuous recalibration of the curriculum to address the changing needs of society, promote critical engagement, and prepare students for the challenges of the future” to ensure great services for the students.
“By refining these methods and building on this success, PUP’s Psychology Department may solidify its position as one of the top performing schools in psychology. The challenge is to keep high standards while also responding to changing industry and societal needs,” she noted.
