Institute for Science and Technology Research

The Institute for Science and Technology Research (ISTR) promotes the science and technology (S&T) research agenda of the University.  It integrates holistic programs to implement various strategies in pursuing researches in the fields of life science, physical science, mathematics, engineering, as well as nutrition and food technology.

ISTR Research Centers

  • The Center for Life Sciences Research (CLSR) promotes research and development in the different fields of biological sciences.  It conducts basic and applied researches in botany, zoology, microbiology and other allied life sciences.
  • The Center for Engineering Research (CER) fosters multidisciplinary research and development in the different fields of engineering.  It undertakes design and engineering researches that incorporate the latest technological advances in coming up with globally competitive innovations.
  • The Center for Physical and Mathematical Sciences Research (CPMSR) encourages research and development in the areas of physical sciences and mathematics.  It conducts basic and applied researches in the areas of chemistry, physics, mathematics and other related sciences.
