All these are integrated in the PUP system, ensuring its internal governance efforts are implemented with the highest standards of public service and good governance. The University received accolades from various institutions given its quality service, most prominent of which is the Philippine Quality Award. It has also received commendations from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the Commission on Audit (COA), and the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) on effective use of public funds. Since 2018, it has retained ISO certification, and currently, seeking certification on Education Management Systems.
The University is supported by its senior leadership as chief decision-makers. It has the Executive Committee composed of the President and Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs; Administration; Campuses; Executive; Planning and Finance; Research, Extension and Development; and Student Affairs and Services. It is complemented by a higher decision-making body, the Board of Regents composed of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner as Chair and the University President as Co-Chair. Other members include regents or elected representatives for Students, Faculty, Alumni, and the Private Sector. It also has representation from the Senate Committee on Education and the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education.

There were 57 Juris Doctor (Law) graduates for School Year 2023-2024. They are part of the 17,597 graduates for S.Y. 2023-2024 covering 17 colleges including the Open University System, Institute of Technology, Laboratory High School and Senior High School and 22 campuses.
As a polytechnic university, PUP does not offer programs on criminology, policing, forensic science, corrections, criminal psychology, and other enforcement related programs.
