Held on October 26–27, 2023, the Write it Right: National Training on Business Correspondence was a nationwide workshop conducted by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. The training enhanced participants' skills in formal business writing, drafting effective administrative documents, and ensuring clear workplace communication.
On September 5, 2023, students from Taiwan's National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) completed a 60-hour English Enhancement Program under the PUP Institute of Continuing Professional Development (ICPD). Organized across multiple university offices as part of PUP’s internationalization efforts, the three-week program combined English fluency training with immersion in Philippine culture, local history, and landmark tours. Expressing strong appreciation for the initiative, NKUHT leadership conveyed interest in sending another batch of delegates for the program in early 2024.
From March 6 to 22, 2023, the PUP Institute of Continuing Professional Development (ICPD) conducted an online Civil Service Examination (CSE) Review for 700 PhilHealth employees across 14 batches. Facilitated by faculty trainers from various PUP colleges, the program covered key CSE topics—such as reasoning, government standards, and environmental management—and yielded significant score improvements between pre- and post-tests. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the initiative fosters rehabilitation, critical thinking, and social justice, empowering incarcerated individuals to rebuild their lives and successfully reintegrate into society upon release.
Analysis of enrollment trends across academic years 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 demonstrates both the program's expanding geographical footprint and its dynamic institutional coverage. The initiative scaled significantly from two participating facilities in AY 2024–2025—the Manila City Jail Male and Female Dormitories—to four major correctional institutions in AY 2025–2026 with the integration of the Correctional Institution for Women and the Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory. In AY 2025–2026, these newly added sites recorded substantial immediate participation, with the Correctional Institution for Women enrolling 65 students and the Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory enrolling 43 students in their first semester of operations. Meanwhile, the established programs at Manila City Jail initially served a combined total of 102 PDLs in the first semester of AY 2024–2025, comprising 59 male and 43 female student-inmates. Across all participating facilities and academic years, enrollment patterns consistently reveal a higher headcount during the first semester followed by a modest decline in the second semester, a natural trajectory largely attributable to case resolutions, institutional transfers, or the release of student-inmates prior to term completion.
Reflecting its transformative social impact and pioneering pedagogical model, this initiative has received international recognition at the prestigious QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference, affirming PUP's global leadership in inclusive higher education.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines operates its flagship "Education on Wheels" (EOW) — Pamantasang Bayan initiative to ensure socio-economic and geographical non-discrimination in higher education. The program utilizes mobile bus classrooms converted into fully functional learning spaces equipped with collapsible tables, chairs, whiteboards, air conditioning, and solar panels for electricity. Designed to accommodate 40 to 50 students per mobile unit, EOW directly addresses physical and financial barriers by delivering degree programs—specifically the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration—to out-of-school youth and underprivileged residents in high-poverty urban communities such as Payatas, Tatalon, and Smokey Mountain in Tondo. Driven by strategic multi-sectoral collaboration, the initiative was launched with support and donations from Century Peak Corporation, the Daily Tribune, and the Sandiwaan Learning Center.
The transformative reach of the program is demonstrated across multiple underserved localities, serving a total of 144 enrolled students across four community sites: Payatas (28 students), Tatalon (29 students), Tondo 1 (45 students), and Tondo 2 (42 students). By bringing university-level instruction directly to marginalized neighborhoods, EOW serves as a flexible pathway toward formal tertiary education, leading to milestone achievements such as the graduation of its first cohort graduating in September 2025.
