Description: As a purchasing assistant, your responsibilities would typically revolve around managing the procurement process for various materials and supplies essential for the printing operations.
As a purchasing assistant, your responsibilities would typically revolve around managing the procurement process for various materials and supplies essential for the printing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities: · Source suppliers for ink, paper, printing equipment, and other materials required for color printing. · Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to obtain the best value for the company. · Generate purchase orders, track shipments, and coordinate delivery schedules to meet production needs. · Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure client needs are met effectively. · Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards. · Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement in the procurement process. · Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate collaboration and resolve issues. · Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities. · Assist in the development and management of the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost containment strategies. · Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency through automation or process improvements.

Qualifications: · Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred. · Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the printing or manufacturing industry. · Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software preferred. · Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct cost analysis and identify areas for improvement.
