In the spirit of Bayanihan, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines organized an outreach activity in Sitio Maligaya 6, San Pedro, Laguna on June 4, 2021 to help residents affected by a fire.
In a report, around 130 to 150 residents were directly affected by the fire which flares up at around 1 p.m. on June 1. According to the officials, some of the affected residents are students of the PUP San Pedro Campus.
Upon hearing the news, numerous individuals pledged to donate. Among them are the executive officials, administrative employees, faculty members, alumni, and students of PUP. Some anonymous donors also extended their support.
San Pedro Campus Administrator and Barangay Cysanthemun Chairman Restituto Hernandez coordinated and assisted in the conduct of the outreach activity.
Anyone willing to give to the PUP Community Relations And Outreach Services can go to the main gate of the Philippine campus or may email the office at cros@pup.edu.ph.
