Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) 2013 Graduate School and Open University’s Yearend Commencement Exercises slated on April 25
A total of 155 students from the Graduate School (GS) and 258 students from the Open University (OU) will receive their respective diplomas and titles on April 25 for the Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ (PUP) 2013 Yearend Commencement Exercises. The Graduation Rites will be held at the SM Cinema 5 in SM Centerpoint, Quezon City.
Topping the list of graduates in the GS are 34 students who will be conferred Master in Business Administration and 19 students with Doctor in Business Administration. This was followed by 22 students who will receive the title Master in Public Administration and 20 students with the title Master in Psychology.
Nine (9) students will also be conferred with Doctor in Educational Management and five (5) students with Doctor in Public Administration. Ten students will also receive their Master in Physical Education and Sports, eight (8) students with Master of Arts in English Language Teaching and six (6) students with Master in Library and Information Science. Other students will also receive Master in Communication, Master in Business Education, Master in Educational Management, Master in Industrial Engineering and Management , Masters of Arts in Filipino, Master of Science in Engineering Major in Computer Engineering, Master of Science in Information Technology and Master of Science in Mathematics Education.
Meanwhile in the OU, 85 students will be conferred Master in Educational Management (36 Thesis Program and 49 Non-Thesis Program), 53 students with Master in Public Administration (5 Thesis Program and 48 Non-Thesis Program) and 13 students with Master in Communication (Thesis Program).
More so, other students will also receive their Master of Science in Information Technology, Master of Science in Construction Management (2 Thesis Program and one Non-Thesis). Three (3) students will also graduate in the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program or ETEEP with the following programs: Bachelor in Journalism, Bachelor in Public Administration and Governance and Master in Business Administration. Two (2) students will be conferred with Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Office Administration major in Corporate Transcription under the Non-Traditional Study Program (NTSP).
On the other hand, 98 students have finished the OU’s undergraduate programs with 52 students to be conferred with Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management, 31 students with Bachelor in Broadcast Administration and 15 students to receive Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Information Technology.
Outstanding business executive and visionary Cesar T. Quiambao will be the Graduate School and Open University’s 2013 Commencement Exercises guest speaker. The University will also confer him a Doctor in Humanities or Honoris Causa during the graduation rites.
