Dr. Elvira C. Labartine, a faculty member of College of Science, was given an Award of Excellence in Education and Innovation (Senior Level) at the recently concluded Research and Education Congress 2022 with the theme: “Advancing Research, Education, and Innovation at the Dawn of the New Normal.” Held on November 18, 2022, at One Tagaytay Hotel, Tagaytay City.
During the Research and Education Congress 2022, Dr. Elvira presented her research titled: “Correlation between customer satisfaction in the catering industry with its relationship management.” Her study reveals that businesses should have an adaptable understanding of what customers expect and utilize resources to meet customers’ expectations.
The congress was organized by the Association of Higher Education Multidisciplinary Research, Inc. (AHEdMRI), and the United Federation of Fil-American Educators, Inc. (UNIFIED). The 2-day congress aimed at offering a multidisciplinary platform, providing a venue for collaboration, and providing opportunities for the participants.
Dr. Labartine earned a master’s degree in food science from the University of the Philippines in 1999, as well as a doctorate in business administration from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Her areas of expertise at PUP include research, cooking, and baking. In almost two decades in service, Dr. Labartine was given an Award of Excellence in Education and Innovation (Senior Level) in recognition of her exemplary accomplishments and significant contributions in the field of Food Science and Educational Management.
