A few days after her assumption of office as VP for Research and Development Dr. Victoria C. Naval issued a memo creating the OVPRD Committee on Website Development chaired by AVP Alberto C. Guillo, with the rest of the directors as members. A meeting for this purpose was immediately convened; this was followed by a training on the use of the software for the website development conducted by the Center for Training and Development. Assigned to take charge of the latter was Director Cecilia S. Austero who readily scheduled the activity on September 13, 2006 at the Jose de Venecia ICT Room of the Ninoy Aquino Learning Resource Center.

The directors and selected members of their staff attended the training that had Prof. Severino L. Martinez as resource person. The short program that opened the session had Director Mely R. Luya giving the opening remarks and VP Victoria C. Naval delivering her inspirational message.
The very productive hands-on training produced the outputs that are now on the web. The OVPRD website contains the following features which hopefully will be duplicated by the rest of the other units in the university.
Dr. Naval said that priority will be given to the updating of the website of the University which includes the other colleges, offices/units in the University as well as the extensions/branches.
