CAF ignites research culture with FinaSaliksik 2024 Poster Presentation

The Department of Financial Management (DFM) under the College of Accountancy and Finance (CAF) at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) recently held its 1st Annual Poster Research Presentation on January 13, 2024 at PUP Gymnasium. A total of 107 research papers by 3rd year BSBA Financial Management student from the Department of Financial Management were included in this showcase.

FinaSaliksik, a fusion of Finance and Research, is a vital component of the broader Flagship Program, FinaHUSAY, comprising five sub-programs aimed at enhancing the academic landscape of the department. The event themed “FinaSaliksik 2024: Reigniting the DFM Research Compass Towards Increasing Knowledge and Building Relationships Through Relevant and Meaningful Research,” marked a significant stride in fostering a robust research culture among students and faculty.

Mr. Junnell A. Guia, Research Director of the Philippine Christian University, graced the occasion as the guest speaker. He shared his personal journey as a researcher, instilling motivation among the participants to pursue their academic endeavors passionately.

The activity garnered praise from all 20 evaluators, including representatives from PUP and esteemed institutions such as Lyceum of the Philippines, Adamson University, Emilio Aguinaldo College, and San Beda University. The evaluators expressed their appreciation for the festive and organized atmosphere, commending the initiative to reignite the culture of research among students.

The culminating moment of the event featured a closing program where certificates of appreciation were bestowed upon the dedicated evaluators. Additionally, the top 5 Best Poster Research Presenters were honored, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the field.
