After two consecutive successes of the program, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) College of Education continued to provide knowledge to pre-service teachers in the third week of the webinar series, “EdTalk 2021: Achieving Learning Continuity through Innovative Teaching Strategies” on May 22, 2021.
The third part of the six-day webinar series titled “SMARTER in the New Normal: Science and Mathematics Actions for Responsive Teaching and Educational Rapport” showcased two excellent educators, Mr. Ryan Labana from the Department of Biology under the College of Science and Mr. Jeremiah James Dela Rosa from Linfield Christian School, California.
On his topic “AGHAMazing: Contemporary Science Teaching Techniques in Various Modalities,” Mr. Labana shared strategies and the importance of learning the word “multipotentialities” in teaching the Science subject. "We should always be masters of our subject matter," Mr. Labana reminded all spectators.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dela Rosa on his topic “Maging MATHusay: Challenges and 21st Century Solutions in Learning Mathematics” discussed and taught the possible solutions to several problems and challenges in teaching Mathematics. “Indeed, learning Mathematics is difficult. However, once the answer is held and the solution is revealed, there’s no turning back to what was before,” he said.
The EdTalk webinar series will run until June 2021 which will also tackle several topics on Social Studies and Information and Communications Technology.
