To increase student participation in the research culture of the university, the Research Management Office (RMO) and the Office of Student Services (OSS) hosted a three-day research conference-workshop titled National and International Paper Presentation for Students (Project NIPS) on November 4-6 via Zoom Meeting and Facebook Live.
The project aimed to increase student research paper presentation in a national or international setting, as well as possible paper publication in reputable academic journals, particularly those indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and the CHED Journal Incentive Program (JIP).
The conference-workshop covered research writing fundamentals, research methodology, research values, the significance of research publications, and other key research concepts. Students from various strands presented their research findings in parallel sessions on the final day of the research conference workshop and received feedback on their papers from resource speakers.
Project NIPS was participated in by students across PUP branches and satellite campuses from the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Computer Science Information Systems and Technologies (CSIST), Humanities, Social Sciences, and Communication (HUMSSCOM), Business and Finance, and Education.
