Students from our College of Accountancy and Finance demonstrated academic excellence at the 21st Charlwin Lee Cup Finals held at Asia Pacific College (APC) on May 29–30, 2026.
The national competition featured two divisions: the Intermediate Level for first- and second- year students, conducted on May 29 and the Advanced Level for third- and fourth-year students, held on May 30. The event gathered some of the country's most accomplished accountancy student quizzers from various higher education institutions.
Leading PUP's outstanding performance in the Advanced Level competition was Rhea Niduelan, who earned the prestigious title of Grand Master. She was also recognized as the Senior Preeminent Quizzer, emerging as the top performer among 71 participants nationwide.
Joining Niduelan among the competition's top achievers were Fransh Andrei Abad, who was awarded the title of Senior Master, and Lord Benedick Fernandez, who secured the distinction of Junior Master. Fernandez likewise received the Junior Preeminent Quizzer award for his exceptional performance.
Completing the roster of PUP finalists in the Advanced Level category were Fredilyn Autor, Aliyah Red Cadiz, Rodel De Mesa, John Patrick Gopez, James Carlo Medina, Angel Jianne Soriano, and Joshlee Villanueva.
Meanwhile, PUP also made a strong showing in the Intermediate Level division through its finalists Ramiel Charles Ogerio, Elijah Leigh Taytay, Nicholas Armand Ramos, and Annie Laluna, who competed against representatives from various institutions across the country.
The 21st Charlwin Lee Cup, themed “Sanctum: Solarium of Eternal Excellence,” is one of the premier academic quiz competitions organized by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA). The event serves as a platform for aspiring accounting professionals to showcase their knowledge, analytical skills, and commitment to academic excellence.
The strong performance of our Sintang Paaralan in this year's competition reflects the university's continued commitment to fostering academic achievement and professional competence among its students. These accomplishments contribute to the advancement of SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting excellence in higher education and lifelong learning opportunities. Moreover, the success of future accounting professionals supports SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by helping develop a highly skilled workforce capable of contributing to sustainable economic development and responsible financial management.
