The Polytechnic University of the Philippines- Manila placed 6th most popular among the top 200 colleges and universities on the 2019 Philippine University Ranking List by UniRank, an international higher education online search engine and directory assessing accredited institutions all over the world.
The list was revealed early on February 2019, and the selection of universities was based on the criteria: that the university is licensed/ accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), offering at least four-year bachelor degrees or post-graduate degrees, and implementing courses mainly in a face-to-face, non-distance education arrangement.
The Top 10 are: University of the Philippines Diliman at 1st place, followed by Ateneo de Manila University at 2nd, and University of Santo Tomas at 3rd; De La Salle University, and University of the Philippines System claimed the 4th and 5th spot respectively; the Polytechnic University of the Philippines repossessed the 6th spot for the second time since 2018; and completing the list are: University of the Philippines Manila, Mapúa University, University of San Carlos, and Ateneo de Davao University.
