To discuss issues and concerns of the students, the Executive Committee (Execom) of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), consisting of the University President and all the Vice Presidents, held a dialogue with student representatives from the Office of the Student Regent (OSR), ANAK PUP Federation, and Branches and Campus Publications on July 8, 2021.
Concerns such as publication funding, academic matters such as the delivery of instructional materials, observance of the academic ease, cash incentives for academic achievers, processes for fund-raising activities, student council funds, the appointment of student representatives in the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) and Student Disciplinary Board (SDB), fund allocation for research and development of the students, Student Development Fund (SDF), and the implementation of the Visitors Appointment Scheduling System (VASS) were discussed.
On VASS, President Muhi clarified that walk-ins without VASS appointments are already permitted, provided that visitors complete health declaration forms and adhere to IATF guidelines and minimum health protocols.
The dialogue was requested by the ANAK PUP Federation and the OSR to clarify the above-mentioned concerns, which are deemed highly significant in terms of the overall welfare of the student body at the university.
