Manila, Philippines (January 7, 2026) — The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), has become the first state university in the National Capital Region to secure dual international certification under ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 21001:2018 (Educational Organizations Management System). These certifications apply to all PUP campuses and academic extension nationwide. This milestone underscores the University’s unified and institution-wide commitment to providing consistent, transparent, and high-quality public service in higher education.
TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines Inc. validated these certifications through rigorous audits, ensuring that core processes—from student admission and enrollment to records management, instruction, and support services—are standardized, transparent, and continuously improved across the PUP System.
By adhering to international standards in quality and educational management, PUP sustains its ability to provide more efficient frontline services directly to students and other stakeholders. This also helps build public trust in its role as the country’s largest people’s university, an avenue that consistently prioritizes accessibility, excellence, and integrity in public higher education.
