College of Accountancy and Finance (CAF) distributed free pocket wi-fi and load to a total of 290 students through its CAF Connect Project to assist students with limited online learning resources.
Qualified students from Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Financial Management were given pocket wifi and free cellphone load from the donations of KPMG Philippines and SMART Communications Inc. The donated devices were delivered via Air21, the university's courier partner.
A survey and interview were conducted online to determine which students would be eligible for the assistance. Students were then selected based on their financial situation.
The CAF Connect Project is a collaborative effort of CAF administration, led by its dean, Dr. Julieta Fonte, faculty members, CAF student council, and student organizations.
