The Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development, under the Intellectual Property Management Office of the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Development, conducted its First Entrepreneurial and Livelihood Training Program last March 22, 2017. The event was organized in partnership with the Philippine Broadcasting Service – Bureau of Broadcast Services and was held at the Philippine Information Agency.
Warm words were given by Director General Rizal Giovanni P. Aportadera and Radio Station Manager Mr. Remegio Sampang who formally opened the program.
Prof. Jennifer Munsayac, a faculty member from College of Business Administration (CBA) led the seminar on “Meat Processing”.
The training program was conducted to help the attendees gain knowledge about starting a business on the said topic. It also aimed to augment participants’ income.
Munsayac presented lectures and demonstration and invited at least 15 participants to apply the whole process of making “skinless longganisa”.
Closing remarks were given by Prof. Ma. Victoria G. Red, who also acted as the host of the event. This is the first of the series of training and seminars to be conducted by PUP to PBS as per the Memorandum of Agreement(MOA) between PUP and PBS for the whole year.
