FIELD STUDY: THE ONBOARDING
The Field Study Onboarding program is meticulously designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration, bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, and enhance appreciation and recognition for the contributions of both academia and industry. By fostering a dynamic learning environment, the program encourages participants to actively engage in discussions, share experiences, and collaborate on practical projects that reinforce their academic understanding. Through structured activities and real-life scenarios, participants gain hands-on experience, enabling them to effectively integrate theoretical concepts into professional practice. PINNING CEREMONY
The teacher education pinning ceremony will provide a formal platform to acknowledge and celebrate the academic achievements of graduates. Recognizing their hard work, dedication, and commitment to their studies is essential in fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride. This ceremony will symbolize the transition from student to teacher candidate emphasizing the gravity of the commitment graduates are making to the teaching profession and the responsibilities that come with it. This will build a strong sense of community within the education program which is crucial for the professional development and support of graduates.

APPRECIATION DIALOGUE
The rationale behind the Appreciation Dialogue aligns closely with the mission of the College of Education of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). The College of Education is committed to preparing professional educators and practitioners who can promote quality and excellence in diverse societal settings, while also collaborating internationally through exemplary leadership.
By organizing the Appreciation Dialogue, the College of Education aims to fulfill its mission by addressing two important goals: empowering faculty and stakeholders and establishing synergistic partnerships and networks with various industries.
The program serves as a platform to open communication channels and strengthen partnerships between the College of Education and its industry partners and linkages. Through this event, faculty members of the College of Education can update themselves on the skills and knowledge required by different industries in the ever-changing world. This supports the goal of empowering faculty members and employees, as it enables them to enhance their expertise and align their teaching approaches with industry demands.
Hence, the Appreciation Dialogue serves as a response to the mission of the College of Education by facilitating knowledge exchange, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and enhancing appreciation and recognition for the contributions of academia and industry. LET’S TALK: PUP COED IN-HOUSE REVIEW
The Let’s Talk - In-House Review project of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) - College of Education is intricately aligned with the institution's overarching mission and goals, reflecting a steadfast commitment to educational excellence, innovation, equity, and impactful contributions to the education sector. The project’s objectives resonate with the core values and aspirations of the College of Education, embodying a holistic approach to preparing future educators while addressing the evolving demands of the educational landscape.
At the heart of the project lies a dedication to ensuring that pre-service teachers possess a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter covered in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers. This objective closely aligns with PUP's mission to provide high-quality teacher education project, equipping aspiring educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the diverse needs of students and communities. It underscores the College of Education's commitment to nurturing highly competent educators capable of upholding academic excellence and promoting inclusive educational practices.
Furthermore, the project's focus on equipping pre-service teachers with effective strategies, techniques, and resources to excel in the LET exam reflects the College of Education's proactive stance on innovation and adaptation. ACADEMIC EXCHANGE PROGRAM
An academic exchange program in an international context is a collaborative initiative that enables students, faculty, and researchers to study, teach, or conduct research in a foreign country. These programs promote cultural exchange, global understanding, and academic collaboration by offering participants the opportunity to experience different educational systems and practices. Through these exchanges, individuals gain new perspectives, develop intercultural communication skills, and enhance their academic and professional expertise, while fostering mutual respect and cooperation between participating institutions and nations.
COED AWARDS
“Diwa’t Hiraya: Pagdiriwang ng Kahusayan,” encompasses the holistic and culturally rich philosophy of conducting the college recognition rites. It acknowledges the inner spirit and visionary aspirations that drive students toward excellence. The essence of its conduct is not just the celebration of tangible achievements, but also the intangible qualities and future potential that students at the College of Education embody.
The event is built upon the following aspirations for the student body: (1) inspire and motivate: encourage all students to pursue their dreams with passion and vision, emphasizing that excellence is achievable through a combination of spirit and vision; (2) honor and recognition: celebrate a wide range of achievements, recognizing the diverse talents and contributions of the members of the student body; and (3) fostering of community and shared success: strengthen the sense of community by collectively honoring the accomplishments of individuals, thereby fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for all.

EDTALK Webinar Series
The College of Education's EdTalk Webinar Series is a flagship project of pre-service teachers and librarians being held annually which began in 2020. This 4-day webinar series aims to equip the undergraduate students at the college on various dimensions in the field such as: curriculum and instruction; assessment and evaluation; educational technology; information science; and others. This project's core is to strengthen the foundation of their skills before their internship program and graduation. Typically, the college features a set of high-caliber and experienced inspirational educators and librarians from different parts of the Philippines to impart knowledge, skills, positivity, and motivation among the students. Additionally, the topics are being determined based on the current trends in the academe and the educational needs of the students.
JumpStart Freshman Orientation
As the PUP College of Education continues to perform its mandate, and provide the services the University and the students deserve, it is the college's continuous quest to equip its students and develop them in a holistic manner—helping them be better students and individuals who can eventually contribute to nation-building. This annual college freshman orientation aims to introduce the current setting of education in the college, present the members of the college community who will be part of their journey in becoming the future educators they are, and further explains the rules, guidelines, policies, and protocols for the ongoing limited face-to-face classes of the the present academic year, among others. Students are encouraged to participate and have their presentations at this social event to boost their confidence and uplift brotherhood amongst freshman students.
College of Education Academic Contests
The College of Education also invests in students' participation in extra-curricular activities as it organizes a 20-event academic contest that aims to hone the intelligence, competitiveness, and skills of the students in the college. This annual activity, organized by the undergraduate student organizations, includes the Demonstration Teaching Festival, Professional Education Quiz Bee, Instructional Materials Making Contest, Essay Writing Contest, Debate, E-Poster Making Contest, Battle of the Readers, Extemporaneous Speech Contest, Spelling Bee, General Information Quiz Bee, Social Science Quiz Bee, Philippine History, Arts, and Culture Quiz Bee, General Science Quiz Bee, Basic Mathematics Quiz Bee, Basic Statistics Quiz Bee, ICT Quiz Bee, Photojournalism, Editorial Writing, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, and Dagliang Talumpati.
