PUP wins as top 3 performing SUC at AACCUP 35th national conference

Quality education is a long-standing commitment for the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). Through its Quality Assurance Center (QAC), the University continues to bring all academic programs to new levels of excellence.

In the recently held 35th National Conference of the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) last March 9-11, PUP was awarded as top 3 performing SUC with the highest number of Level I accredited programs (11 Programs) and top 3 performing SUC with the highest number of Level II re-accredited programs (24 programs).

In addition to these awards, nine (9) programs were given Level IV certification, seven (7) Level IV Phase 1 passers, and two (2) Level III Phase 1 passers.

Since 2017, PUP consistently received AACCUP Top Performing Awards. In 2021 alone, the university has emerged as a top performer having received six (6) major awards for its academic programs:

Top 5 with the highest percentage of accredited programs among programs assessed by AACCUP from 1992 to 2019;
Top 2 with the most number of programs awarded Level 3 status in 2019;
Top 1 with the most number of programs awarded Level 1 status in 2019;
Most Improved Internal Quality Assurance in 2019;
Top 2 with most number of Level IV accredited programs in 2020; and
Top 3 with the most Number of Level III Accredited Programs in 2020.

The Quality Assurance Center continues to submit programs for accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in program management. 49 programs are scheduled to be visited this year.
