CBA holds 1st Nat'l Business Conference

The PUP-College of Business Administration (CBA), together with College of Accountancy and Finance (CAF), and College of Tourism, Hospitality, and Transportation Management (CTHTM), in partnership with Ascendens Asia and Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professionals held its first national business research conference titled CROSSOVER: Moving Beyond the Borders of the Business World Through Research on March 21, 2019 at the PUP Bulwagang Balagtas which was participated in by 21 institutions, including PUP, Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas, University of the Philippines Diliman, Kalinga State University, Partido State University, Rizal Technological University, Bukidnon State University, North Luzon Philippines State College, Juan Sumulong Junior College, Our Lady of Fatima University, Mindanao Polytechnic College, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Cavite State University, University of Rizal System, Universidad de Zamboanga, Philhealth, Department of Trade and Industry, IBPAP and Teleperformance, with 101 research papers; 76 of which for oral presentation and 25 poster presentation.

The first keynote speaker, Dr. Ruby Raterta was the Chief Science Research Specialist of the National Research Council of the Philippines. Following Dr. Raterta was the second keynote speaker, Roland Blas Arrogante, the President of Career Add-ons Corporation.

Headed by the overall program committee: Dr. Raquel G. Ramos, Dean of CBA and the overall chair of crossover; assisted by VP Adam Ramilo; Dr. Guillermo C. Bungato Jr., the co-chair of the program; Dr. Marietta D. Reyes, Dean of CTHTM; Dr. Hilda Felipe San Gabriel, Editor-in-Chief of PUP Social Science Review; Dr. Jackie Urrutia, the Director of PUP Intellectual Property Management Office; Prof. Lilian M. Litonjua, Dean of CAF and Dr. Jake Laguador, LPU Batangas Research Director and Editor-in-Chief of Asia Pacific Journal for Multidisciplinary, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for poster exhibits was held.
