Six students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines landed in the top-notch spots in recently concluded licensure examinations.
Jaymund M. Ostonal of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Sta. Mesa placed 7th in the 2022 May Civil Engineering Licensure Examinations (CELE) results, released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday, May 12. He is the lone PUP passer in the top 10, with a score of 92.55%. The said exam achieved a 42.34% passing rate.
John Loyd Ignacio Tenorio from PUP Sto. Tomas placed 7th in the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination last April 2022 after earning a mark of 88.70%.
After registering a score of 89.30% in the Registered Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination and 88.00% in the Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination, Jan Frey Pangilinan Pescasio from PUP-Maragondon placed 5th and 8th in said examinations, respectively.
Meanwhile, Andrew Angelo CariƱo and Kevin Holden Villania, both from PUP Sta. Mesa, tied for 4th place in the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination held last April 2022.
In the March 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), Joan Adrian Cuarteros Tabalanza placed 8th. He was among the six examinees with a score of 90.20% at the secondary level. Alongside this, PUP was also recognized as the only top-performing school at the secondary level after registering a passing rate of 81.25%.
The examinations were conducted in various testing centers across the country and the results were released and made publicly available by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
