The Master in Information Technology (MIT) program aims to create transformational leaders in the field of Information Technology (IT). These globally competitive IT leaders must be equipped with the advanced knowledge, techniques, principles, and skills in systems planning, developing, and implementing of advanced technology-based solutions to complex computing problems using industry-recognized best practices and standards. These may include but are not limited to maintaining systems integrity, and protecting technology assets, infrastructure, and data analytics.
MSIT areas of expertise are systems integration, systems administration, systems planning, systems implementation, and other activities that maintain the integrity and proper functionality of a system and its components. The curriculum is integrally designed to produce graduates who shall be prepared to excel in positions that involve providing IT solutions. These roles include those of project manager, systems architect, information architect, process analyst, and technology architect. Graduates shall be ready to function in Information Technology positions with the competency, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in the workplace. The curriculum provides students the opportunity for continued career growth and life-long learning as IT professionals.
