IODE serves as the core academic arm of PUPOUS for delivering undergraduate and graduate programs through ODeL. It provides learners with flexibility regarding where and when they learn, supporting both independent study and interactive online environments. Students may study independently with the guidance of course specialists or engage in collaborative learning through synchronous sessions (online meeting platforms) and asynchronous (eMabini Learning Portal).
IODE ensures that distance education programs adhere to standards for accessibility, quality, and relevance in compliance with national law compliant with the Open Distance Learning Act (RA 10650). In addition, the institute also aligned in the CHED’s regulatory authority for higher education institutions as articulated in the Higher Education Act of 1994 (RA 7722). In the CHED Policies and Guidelines, IODE follows that CMO No. 12, s. 2025 or the Policies and Guidelines on Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL), and initially the CMO No. 27, s. 2005 or the Policies and Guidelines on Distance Education.
