Graduate Studies Entrance Examination for the College of Communication (PUPGSEE-COC)

The PUP College of Communication Graduate studies will accept online application of eligible applicants for the First Semester, Academic Year 2026-2027

Doctor of Philosophy in Communication (PhDComm)
Master of Arts in Communication (MACO)

*Onsite Submission of Entrance Requirements* for applicants from Metro Manila and nearby provinces:**	PUP College of Communication 2F Registrar’s Office, COC Building, NDC Compound, Anonas St., Sta. Mesa, Manila Mondays to Saturdays (except National Holidays) 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Exam schedules:	Examinations are conducted online by default. However, applicants may request an onsite examination. The examination schedule will be sent via email upon confirmation of the application.

Entrance Exam Fee:	PhP 500.00 (pay the fee at the PUP Main Campus Cashier's Office or any LANDBANK Branch after verification of the required documents)
Mode of Payment:	Any LANDBANK branch or PUP Main Campus Cashier's Office

Admission Prerequisites

Master’s Degree Program

The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate or related to the graduate program being applied for. Applicants whose undergraduate degree is not directly related to the program may be required to complete prescribed pre-program courses.
A General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 2.000 in the completed Bachelor’s degree program is required.

Doctorate Degree Program

The applicant must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 1.750 in the completed Master’s degree program.

Application/Admission Requirements

For applicants of the Doctorate Degree, you shall also submit the following:

Letter of Intent (addressed to the Dean)
Filled out Recommendation for admission (to be accomplished by immediate supervisor/head of office, click here to download form)

Common requirements for Doctorate and master’s degree applicants:

Downloaded and signed GSEE Application Form, attached with 2”x2” colored photo that you uploaded during online application
Photocopy/CTC of Transcript of Records (from the last school attended)
Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
Photocopy of PSA Certificate of Marriage (for married female applicants only)
One copy ID picture, 2"x2" (recent and in formal attire w/ white background)
Printed copy of downloaded Payment Voucher

Note: Please bring the original copies of Transcript of Records, Birth Certificate, and Certificate of Marriage for verification purposes

Original copy of the following:

Certificate of Employment or Service Record
*NBI or Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
*Medical Certificate (“Fit to Study”) within the last 6 months

* Not required if employed in PUP
