The PUP Graduate School is accepting online application for its Graduate School Entrance Examination (GSEE) for the Summer Term, Academic Year 2020-2021.

Entrance Exam Fee: PhP 500.00 (pay the fee to the Cashier’s Office after verification of the required documents)
Last day of payment: July 15, 2021

A FRIENDLY REMINDER: Before applying online, make sure that you already have your 2 x 2 inch colored photo, taken recently with white background, in formal pose, with complete name tag, saved as JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg and file size is not more than 300 kilobytes) in your computer or USB device.

Application/Admission Requirements for the Master's Degree Program

  1. Downloaded and signed GSEE Application Form, attached with 2”x2” colored photo that you uploaded during online application
  2. Photocopy/CTC of Transcript of Records (from the last school attended)
  3. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
  4. Photocopy of PSA Certificate of Marriage (for married female applicants only)
  5. One copy ID picture, 2"x2" (recent and in formal attire w/ white background)
  6. Printed copy of downloaded Payment Voucher

    Note:
    Please bring the original copies of Transcript of Records, Birth Certificate, and Certificate of Marriage for verification purposes

    Original copy of the following:
  7. Certificate of Employment or Service Record
  8. *NBI or Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
  9. *Medical Certificate (“Fit to Study”) within the last 6 months

    * Not required if employed in PUP

Admission Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's Degree - Appropriate or related to the program; if the bachelor’s degree is in another field, the applicant has to make up for deficiencies by taking 18 units of pre-degree courses prescribed in the relevant program of studies in this university.
  • Grade Requirement - A scholastic rating of at least 2.0, B, 85% or better in the undergraduate courses
  • Qualify in the admission examination
  • Pass the interview by the Program Chair and/or the Dean

Application/Admission Requirements for the Doctorate Degree Program

  1. Letter of Intent (addressed to the Dean of the Graduate School)
  2. Filled-up Recommendation for admission (to be accomplished by immediate supervisor/head of office, click here to download form)
  3. Downloaded and signed GSEE Application Form, attached with 2”x 2” colored photo that you uploaded during online application
  4. Photocopy/CTC of Transcript of Records (from the last school attended)
  5. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
  6. Photocopy of PSA Certificate of Marriage (for married female applicants only)
  7. Printed copy of downloaded Payment Voucher

Admission Prerequisites

A student who wishes to be admitted in a doctorate degree program must comply with the following prerequisites:

  • Holder of an appropriate master’s degree (with thesis) from a university or college of recognized standing.  If the master’s degree is in another field, the applicant has to make up for deficiencies by taking pre-degree (master’s) courses prescribed in the relevant program of studies in this university.
  • Qualify in the admission examination
  • Pass the interview by the Program Chair and/or the Dean
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years work experience

Each program may impose/recommend additional requirements

An applicant with a non-thesis master’s degree shall be required to enroll in Thesis Writing, pass the Oral Defense and submit final copies of the paper to the Registrar’s Office before taking doctorate courses.

Enrollment Documents for Master’s and Doctorate programs:  What to submit during Enrollment

Applicants who meet all the prerequisites for admission in the degree program applied for and passed the interviews by the Program Chair and/or the Dean shall submit to the School Registrar the following documents:

  1. Printed copy of downloaded Admission Record (with 2”x 2” colored photo taken recently with white background and in formal pose)
  2. One long brown envelope
  3. Downloaded Pre-Registration Form
  4. Downloaded, printed and signed Undertaking
  5. Honorable Dismissal/Certificate of Transfer Credential
  6. Original Transcript of Records of highest degree earned from the school last attended (TOR with remarks “Copy for PUP Graduate School” shall be submitted within the semester)
  7. Original copy of PSA Birth Certificate
  8. Original copy of PSA Certificate of Marriage (for married female applicants)
  9. Updated Curriculum Vitae/Resume (including research works and publications, if any)
  10. A two-page, double spaced write up/concept paper discussing or describing the research area, idea, or interest that the applicant would like to investigate in his/her thesis/dissertation.  The write-up should be on short bond paper and encoded using Arial font size 12.

Schedule of Fees

Tuition per unit:
Php 750.00 for Master’s degree program
Php 1,000.00 for Doctorate degree program

Miscellaneous fees: Php 1,725.00
