Free trainings in food and beverage services, and welding will be offered by the University under the three-year initiative “Abot-Kasanayan at Dunong Project” with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between PUP and TESDA was signed last May 14, 2019 spearheaded by the PUP Extension Management Office (EMO).
Borne out of formal talks at the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development (OVPRED) in PUP-Manila campus, Vice President Anna Ruby P. Gapasin noted that the partnership with TESDA further commits PUP's engagement with its host and partner barangays.
Faculty members from the College of Tourism, Hospitality and Transportation Management (CTHTM) and the Institute of Technology (ITECH) will be tapped to develop modules and lead in implementing the trainings as "night classes" to be offered primarily to targeted residents of partner-barangays.
