As part of continued efforts to expand physical facilities across the university system, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Quezon City Campus (PUPQC) secured an infrastructure grant from one of its district representatives. The support amounted to 19 million pesos which will be used to construct and rehabilitate the PUPQC multi-purpose building.
Cong. Wendel P. Tulfo, representative for the second district of Quezon City, facilitated the grant, highlighting the legislative department’s commitment to the improvement and development of educational facilities within the city. Construction and rehabilitation efforts began in earnest last December under the University Property and Quality Control (UPQC) office.
“This grant is aligned with the campus’ thrust to construct facilities designed to meet the evolving needs of its students, faculty, and staff. We’re grateful to our Congressional representative for helping this become a reality,” campus director Prof. Jaime Gutierrez shared.
The Multi-Purpose Building is anticipated to serve as a hub for diverse activities, accommodating events, meetings, and other essential functions that contribute to the vibrant life of PUP Quezon City.
