Technology continues to transform the world in a fast-paced course, and to fully understand its impact on human lives, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Development organized a Professorial Chairholder Lecture-Seminar titled: "AI and Robotics: From Inspirations to Applications towards the Fourth Revolution," on July 4, 2019 at the Bulwagang Bonifacio, Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resources Center (NALLRC).
Dr. Angel A. Bandala, a professor and research faculty member of the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department - De La Salle University Manila, talked about the wide scope of technology mainly focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. He also expounded on the emerging researches on themes such as haptics, swarm robotics, humanoid intelligence, exoskeleton, and bio-inspired robotics.
"Hindi talaga mapipigilan ang development ng technology. Maaring mawalan ka ng trabaho. Kaya keep learning. Para hindi ka mapag-iwanan," he said.
The program is a monthly activity organized by the department with the aim to educate students in various social, political, and technological aspects.
