In a bid to streamline services and enhance efficiency, the Institutional Quality Management System Office (IQMSO) is conducting a review of ISO-enrolled processes. This initiative aims to harmonize these processes with the services enrolled under the Citizen’s Charter.
Vice President Dr. Anna Ruby Gapasin, the University’s Quality Management Representative, emphasized the importance of this initiative.
“Our goal is to ensure that our ISO-enrolled processes align with the ARTU-enrolled services. This harmonization is crucial in enhancing our service delivery and commitment to quality,” she said.
Specific processes under review include admissions, accounting and finance-related services, records management, and ICT management. These areas are critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the university and the delivery of quality services to students and staff.
Director Ireneo Delas Armas, Jr., echoed Gapasin’s sentiments, highlighting the role of the QMS Office in this initiative.
“The QMS Office is at the forefront of this review. We are committed to ensuring that our ISO-enrolled processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency,” he said.
PUP began undertaking the ISO 9001: 2015 evaluation process in 2018, with the goal of enhancing its service delivery and commitment to quality. This current review is a continuation of that commitment, demonstrating PUP’s dedication to continuous improvement and excellence.
Also present in this initiative is Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (VPSAS) and Anti-Red Tape Unit (ARTU) Chair, Tomas O. Testor who expressed his gratitude to all offices with enrolled processes to Citizen’s Charter for their support and commitment to further improve the services of the university.
“We are sincerely grateful for the tremendous effort and support of the PUP administration headed by Pres. Manuel M. Muhi to re-engineer and streamline office processes and the commitment of all PUP units. The University through PUP-ARTU will continue to improve the quality of services to all clients and stakeholders and faithfully implement the national policies on Ease of Doing Business (RA 11032) and Anti-Red Tape in the University,” VP Testor shared.
The harmonization of ISO-enrolled processes with ARTU-enrolled services is expected to result in a more streamlined and efficient service, benefiting not only the university but also its students, staff, and stakeholders.
As PUP continues to strive for excellence, initiatives like this underscore the Sintang Paaralan’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
