PUP Prof Chairholder Ernesto Guades becomes 1st Filipino Marie Curie Postdoc Fellow

Dr. Ernesto “Nestor” J. Guades, a faculty member of Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), becomes the 1st Filipino recipient of the highly prestigious European Union’s Marie Sklodowska Curie post doctoral fellowship in Civil and Structural Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

The fellowship was under the H.C. Orsted Postdoc programme, co-funded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) to support experienced researchers regardless of nationality. The MSCA has also been known to house foreign researchers and create strategic partnerships with leading institutions worldwide.

Dr. Guades is a pride of the PUP-College of Engineering, where he is a special lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering and PUP-Open University for Doctor of Engineering. He is also a Professorial Chair for Engineering, Science and Technology.
